Inverted microscopes

The distinguishing feature of an inverted microscope is an optical arrangement where the observed specimen plane is directed downwards, and the turret with lenses is located under the object table. This ensures constant absolute perpendicularity of the specimen plane to the optical axis of the lens, which makes it possible to observe the entire surface in focus at high magnification.
